THE RUNDOWN
MALIBU, Calif. -- Baylor men's tennis senior Max Tchoutakian partnered with Baylor women's tennis senior Blair Shankle to win two mixed doubles matches Friday at the Oracle/ITA Masters.

The Aix en Provence, France, product and Shankle are now 4-0 at the California event.

In the quarterfinal round, Shankle and Tchoutakian produced a 6-2 victory over UCLA's Martin Redlicki and Ena Shibahara.

To end the night and advance out of the semifinals, the BU duo took care of Meible Chi (Duke) and Ryotaro Matsumura (Kentucky), 6-4.

In singles consolation play, Tchoutakian produced a 6-4, 6-2 win over Alex Chepik of Bethune-Cookman to advance to the quarterfinal round. Tchoutakian, ranked No. 54, is now 5-4 on the season.

WHAT'S NEXT
On Saturday, Tchoutakian and Shankle will face Haley Carter (North Carolina) and Christopher Eubanks (Georgia Tech) in the mixed doubles final at 9 p.m. CT.

In the singles consolation draw, Tchoutakian face Vinny Gillespie of Drake at 12 p.m. CT in the quarterfinals.
