THE RUNDOWN
WACO, Texas -
The fifth-ranked Baylor men's tennis team earned its third win of the season with a 7-0 sweep over Prairie View A&M Friday evening at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.

Because Prairie View A&M only had five roster players, the Bears (3-0) and Panthers (0-5) duked it out on only two doubles courts. Senior Julian Lenz and true freshman Jimmy Bendeck breezed past Christian Waldron and Sergio Avella on court one, winning 6-0.

Junior Max Tchoutakian and true freshman Tommy Podvinski ended doubles play with a 6-2 win over Ulrick Boyogueno and Anirudh Yadov on court two.

Baylor jumped out to a 2-0 lead immediately after a walkover win on court six. Bendeck finished first for the third straight match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Freddy Quintero on court four. Lenz clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Waldron on court one.

Quickly after that, redshirt freshman Will Little rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Yadov on court three. The 59th-ranked Tchoutakian finished less than a minute later, winning 6-0, 6-2 against Avella at the No. 2 spot.

Things were left to the last remaining singles match on court five. An hour later, Podvinski wrapped up the match with a 7-6(6), 4-6, 1-0(7) win over Boyogueno in a third-set ultimate tiebreaker, giving Baylor a clean sweep over the Panthers.
