WACO, Texas -- The fifth-ranked Baylor men's tennis team will continue its seven-match homestand with a trio of matches Friday and Saturday at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
The Bears will host Prairie View A&M Friday at 6 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader against Incarnate Word and Midwestern State at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.

BU looks to extend its 2-0 season record after clinching a spot in the ITA Team National Indoor Championships with season-opening wins over No. 70 UC Irvine and No. 49 Oregon in the ITA Kickoff Weekend held at the Hurd Tennis Center last Saturday and Sunday.

Prairie View A&M is 0-4 on the season, recently dropping a 7-0 decision to No. 58 Rice. Baylor is 5-0 all-time against the Panthers under head coach Matt Knoll, with the last win coming in 2013.

Incarnate Word will open its season against the Bears on Saturday. The Cardinals went 5-17 last season, including a 7-0 loss to the then-No. 2 Bears. Baylor holds a 3-0 series lead over UIW.

Midwestern State will also open its season against Baylor. The Mustangs went 16-6 last season. Baylor holds a 2-1 all-time series lead with the most recent meeting in 1999. The Bears last lost to the Mustangs in 1983 but have won two straight matches under Knoll.

Live scoring and live video for the matches will be available on BaylorBears.com.

Following this weekend, Baylor will continue its seven-match homestand with matches against ranked opponents, No. 5 Texas A&M and No. 44 Memphis on Feb. 3 and 6, respectively.
