WACO, Texas - The second-ranked Baylor men's tennis team begins a two-match road trip to conclude its regular season by taking on No. 10 Texas at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Caswell Tennis Center in Austin.

Baylor enters the match with an overall record of 18-4 and a 2-1 mark in Big 12 play. It will be only the fourth true road contest for the Bears on the year, but BU is 3-0 so far in such contests and 7-2 in matches away from Waco.

In the latest ITA rankings, Julian Lenz is the No. 2 ranked singles player in the country and has an 11-3 record on the season.

Baylor has three other ranked players in singles with Tony Lupieri, Max Tchoutakian, and Mate Zsiga listed at No. 30, 67 and 112 respectively in the latest ITA rankings. Zsiga, a senior, has won seven-straight singles decisions for BU.

The Bears are led in doubles with Lenz joining Diego Galeano to be ranked No. 25. The twosome has moved up to the No. 1 position in BU's lineup, while winning 13 straight decisions and amassing a 16-1 record on the year. Meanwhile, Lupieri teams with Felipe Rios to be ranked No. 43 and Lupieri and Zsiga partner together to form the nation's 58th-best tandem.

BU is 20-1 on the year in doubles points.

Texas enters the match at 18-3 overall and 2-1 in Big 12 play. The Longhorns last played on April 8, winning a 4-0 match over Texas A&M Corpus Christi in Austin. UT lost a 4-1 match to No. 1 Oklahoma on March 29, but since has won three straight matches.

Individually, Texas is led by No. 5 Soren Hess-Olesen, No. 48 Lloyd Glasspool and No. 49 Adrien Berkowicz. UT has one ranked doubles tandem as Glasspool and Hess-Olesen team together to be ranked No. 23.

The Bears have dominated the series against Texas recently, winning four-straight matches over the Longhorns, seven of the last eight and 16 of the last 19. Overall, Texas leads the series, 40-19, but Baylor holds a 19-9 advantage during the Big 12 era. BU has won eight straight over Texas in Austin with the last loss for the Bears coming on April 22, 1999.
