WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team, under new head coach Ryan McGuyre, debuts in its non-traditional spring season Saturday in Dallas. The Bears will play two matches Saturday before going on to play three more dates throughout the spring schedule.

The Bears take on Big 12 foe Oklahoma in a five-set scrimmage at 10 a.m. Saturday, and will face either UT Arlington or SMU at 1 p.m.

Then, Thursday the Bears will play host to Texas State at 8 p.m. at the Ferrell Center in a five-set scrimmage, which is open to Baylor volleyball fans.

Baylor closes the spring schedule with weekend scrimmages in Houston April 11 and in Dallas at the Dallas Convention Center April 18.

McGuyre took over Dec. 24 for Jim Barnes who coached 11 seasons for the Bears. Baylor was 14-17 in 2014 and will return 10 letter winners in 2015.
