BRILES' UNIQUE SYSTEM IS AMERICA'S TOP OFFENSE
Art Briles' unique, record-breaking offense is leading the nation in total offense (637.9) and scoring (54.8) through nine games, after also having led in both each of the past two seasons - total offense (581.5 ypg 2014, 618.8 ypg 2013) and scoring (48.2 ppg 2014, 52.4 ppg 2013). Baylor's offense is the only one in the country to rank among the top-four in total offense each of the last four years.

THE BRILES OFFENSE: à ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € A unique, up-tempo spread attack with origins in Bill Yeoman's `Houston Veer' (perhaps most identifiable by wide splits of receivers and a power running game), Art Briles has honed his offensive system over the past four decades as a high school and collegiate coach; it's a balanced offense, not to be confused with more common pass-heavy spread attacks. The Briles offense is also in use at Bowling Green (head coach Dino Babers) and Tulsa (head coach Philip Montgomery) under former Briles assistants. In the latest NCAAà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € statistics, those three programs, Baylor (637.9), Bowling Green (584.8) and Tulsa (526.9) are first, fifth and ninth respectively in total offense.

BIGà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € 12'S TOPà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € TEAMà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € SINCEà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € 2013
En route to back-to-back Big 12 titles, the Bears racked up matching 8-1 league records. That combined record of 16-2, plus this year's 5-1 start is far and away tops in the Big 12 since the start of 2013.

BUà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € WINNINGà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € THEà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € TURNOVERà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € BATTLE
On the year, Baylor has been better than its opponent in 7of 9 games in the turnover battle. The Bears have gained 22 turnovers in 2015, while only gifting 13 for a turnover margin of +9 or 1.00 per game. That mark is 10th-best in the country and second in the Big 12.

STIDHAMà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € MOVESà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € IN TOà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € PILOT #AMERICASTOPOFFENSE
Through two starts, true freshman Jarrett Stidham has proven the ability to take over for an injured Seth Russell. Despite playing with an injury of his own throughout the Oklahoma loss, the 19-year old from Stephenville, Texas, has completed 39-of-60 passes for 676 yards and 5 TDs. He also added another TDà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € on the ground. Stidham's 419 passing yards at Kansas State were the 10th-most passing yards in a game in program history and had the program's 17th all-time 400-yard passing game.

OPPORTUNISTICà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € DEFENSE
Baylor's defense under coordinator Phil Bennett has demonstrated a knack for making big plays at key moments to contribute to the Bears' winning ways over the past four-plus seasons. BUà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € currently leads the nation by forcing a turnover in 25-straight games. In four-plus years under Bennett, Baylor's D has recorded at least one takeaway in 56 of 61 games - a total of 131 takeaways (78 interceptions, 53 fumbles recovered). Overall under Bennett, Baylor is 35-5 when recording two or more takeaways, including 7-0 in 2015.

THEà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € NATION'S MOSTà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € BALANCEDà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € OFFENSE
Currently, Baylor is the only team in the nation to be ranked in the top 11 in both passing (11th, 345.7) and rushing offense (5th, 292.2). Baylor has ranked among the nation's top 15 in both rushing and passing yards in three of the past four years. Additionally, BU has rushed on more than 54 percent of plays over the last four seasons.

BUà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € ATà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € ITSà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € BESTà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € POST-HALLOWEEN
Baylor has compiled a 21-5 mark in games after October 31 since 2011 (15-3 in Nov., 6-0 in Dec., 0-2 in Jan.). Included in those games is an 8-5 record vs. APà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € Top 25 teams (wins over No. 5 OU in 2011, No. 2 K-State, No. 23 Oklahoma State and No. 17 UCLA in 2012, No. 12 Oklahoma and No. 23 Texas in 2013, No. 16 Oklahoma and No. 9 Kansas State in 2014). Baylor's 21-3 mark in the months of November and December since 2011 is an FBS-best.

COLEMANà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € PRODUCINGà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € HISTORIC NUMBERS
Maxwell Award semifinalist and Biletnikoff Award watch list member Corey Coleman is having one of the top seasons in college football. The junior from Richardson, Texas, has caught 61 passes for 1,229 yards and 20 touchdowns in nine games. He has already broken the BUà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € single-season record for receiving touchdowns (14, Kendall Wright in 2011) and is on pace to set new Big 12 and NCAAà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € record in the category.

SUCCESS AWAY FROM WACO
Baylor has won 15 of its last 19 games outside of Waco (dating into the 2012 season). In that span, the Bears are 10-2 in true road games and 5-2 in neutral-site games (1-2 in bowl games and 2-3 vs. ranked opponents).

à ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ €  Through nine games of 2015, the Bears have put up 493 points, which are the third-most by any school since major classification began in 1937 (via Elias Sports Bureau).

BAYLOR'S RETURN TO PROMINENCE UNDER BRILES
It's no secret that Art Briles has rebuilt Baylor's football program back to national prominence, but most impressive is how quickly and pronounced the transformation happened (Briles is third on the BUà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € career wins list).

VETERAN O-LINE PROTECTING NEW QB, POWERINGà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € RUNà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € GAME
Baylor's offensive line has six linemen with 17 or more career starts (Spencer Drango 44, Kyle Fuller 22, Blake Muir 21, Desmine Hilliard 19, Jarell Broxton 17, Pat Colbert 17). The 2015 line is ranked second in the Big 12 and 22nd in the nation by giving up just 11 sacks in nine games. That veteran group has also helped BU become the nation's No. 5 rushing offense with 292.2 yards per game. The group was named a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award, which recognizes the country's top o-line unit, on Nov. 16.

By rushing for over 275 yards in seven of the first nine games, Baylor is fifth in the country averaging 292.2 yards per contest on the ground. BU's rushing attack is led by Shock Linwood 1,149 yds. on 155 carries with 9 TDs. The junior is torching defenses for 7.4 yards per carry in 2015 and 127.7 yards per game. Both of those marks are No. 1 in the Big 12 and fourth and 11th in the country, respectively. The Bears' punishing rushing game has now produced 1,000-yard rushers in six straight seasons: Jay Finley in 2010 (1,218), Terrance Ganaway in 2011 (school-record 1,547), Lache Seastrunk in 2012 (1,012) and 2013 (1,060)à ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € and Shock Linwood in 2014 (1,135) and 2015.

OKLAHOMA STATE SERIES HISTORY
This is the 34th meeting between Baylor and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 19-14 after Baylor won 49-28 last year in Stillwater. However, OSU leads the series 12-5 when in Stillwater, after OSUà ¢Ã¢' ¬Ã‹ € took a 49-17 win in 2013. The Bears and Cowboys first met Oct. 25, 1914, with OSU blanking Baylor 60-0. The Bears won the next nine meetings before a 20-7 OSU victory in 1972. The teams have met once in the postseason, a 24-14 OSU victory, in the 1983 Bluebonnet Bowl at the Astrodome in Houston.
