Following a 3-0 defeat at the hands of TCU, the Bears will hope to regroup and knock off an OU team that handed BU a 3-1 loss in Norman in the team's first road trip of the season.
Under first-year head coach Ryan McGuyre, the squad has the opportunity to match the highest home win total since 2009 (10). Baylor will have two chances, Sunday against the Sooners and in two weeks against Kansas State, the home and season finale.
OU holds a 38-15 advantage in the all-time series, including winning 17 of the last 19 matchups. The last Baylor win was Nov. 12, 2011 in Norman, with the last home win coming on Sept. 28, 2008 in five sets.
In the Oct. 3 match against the Sooners, BU faced OU down a pair of key freshmen, Amanda Lesikar and Jordan Vail, both out with injuries. With Vail healthy and the recent quality play from senior Andie Malloy and Adrien Richburg, the Bears hope for a different result in front of their home crowd.
Saturday's match will serve as Senior Night, with seniors Amy Rosenbaum, Mackenzie Mayo, Adrien Richburg, and Andie Malloy being honored prior to Sunday's match.
The match will be carried by FOX Sports Southwest Plus for the TV broadcast, with John Morris and Kristen Bates as the on-air talent. Fans can also listen to Baylor's Internet radio broadcast on BaylorBears.com/AllAccess. Keep up with the team all season long by following Baylor Volleyball on the team's official Twitter page, @BaylorVball.
