Volleyball Guns For Third-Straight Win at Kansas

WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team will look to continue its upward climb after two-straight Big 12 wins when the Bears travel to play at Kansas Wednesday. The Bears (13-11, 3-6) and Jayhawks (16-7, 4-5) will face off in Lawrence, Kan. at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN3.
Baylor won its Big 12 opener on the road at Kansas State (Sept. 27) before falling in six-straight matches to league opponents. However, the Bears have pieced together two key victories with a win at home over Iowa State, Oct. 25 and at Texas Tech Wednesday. Baylor is now tied for sixth in the Big 12 standings, which is one game behind Kansas; the Jayhawks are fourth in the nine-team conference.
Kansas and Baylor met in Waco, Oct. 10 with the Jayhawks taking a four-set win. KU's Tiana Dockery led the team with 19 kills in the win while Baylor's Andie Malloy had 17 kills and 15 digs in the loss.
Since Kansas' win over BU, the Jayhawks have posted a 3-2 record, all against Big 12 opponents. KU defeated WVU on the road Oct. 15, beat TCU?at home Oct. 18, fell at Iowa State Oct. 22, beat Texas Tech at home Oct. 25 and fell at TCU Saturday.
Wednesday's match will be televised on the Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and streamed online on ESPN3. Leif Lisec will provide the play-by-play while ex-Jayhawk Jill "Dorsey" Hall will provide color.
