THE RUNDOWN WACO, Texas - Baylor's volleyball team had double-digit kills from four players, and the Bears out-dug TCU 77-63 on the way to a 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23 victory over the Horned Frogs at the Ferrell Center Wednesday night.
Katie Staiger led Baylor (14-13, 4-8) with 19 kills on a .375 hitting percentage, Andie Malloy added 14 and Adrien Richburg and Tola Itiola had 11 apiece in the win. Amy Rosenbaum's 53 assists paced Baylor's .244 hitting effort, which was 35 points higher than its season average coming into the match.
Baylor also had four players in double-digit digs with Malloy's 16 leading the way and provided the junior outside hitter with her team-leading 16th double-double of the season.
In the first set with the score tied at 22, the Bears scored three of the final four points highlighted by a pair of Richburg kills. The Horned Frogs (15-12, 5-7) answered back in the second set scoring five on the last seven points of the set to enter intermission tied at one set apiece.
Baylor's most efficient set was the third, and the Bears hit .308 never trailing after taking an 11-10 lead. In the final set, Baylor trailed 20-19, but three straight kills for the Bears from Staiger, Nicole Bardaji, and Itiola gave the home team a two-point cushion from which it would never look back.

? Katie Staiger led Baylor in kills for the first time since an Oct. 7 loss at Texas with 19 (.375); she is one kill shy of 300 for her career.
? Andie Malloy posted her 16th double-double of the season with 14 kills and 16 digs.
? Tola Itiola reached double-digit kills for the first time against a Big 12 opponent this season; she hit a match-high .550 with no attacking errors.
? Adrien Richburg had 11 kills and a team-high four blocks.
? Thea Munch-Soegaard's fourth dig gave the junior her 600th career dig, and she finished the night with 14.
? Jana Brusek had 14 digs and Ashley Myer added 13 to give the Bears four players in double-digit digs.
? Amy Rosenbaum had 53 assists to pace Baylor's .244 hitting effort.
