WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team (10-7, 1-2) heads to Austin for a Big 12 match Tuesday at 7 p.m. to face No. 2 Texas (11-0, 3-0) at Gregory Gymnasium. The match will be televised on the Longhorn Network.
Baylor is coming off a four-set loss at TCU Saturday, which dropped Baylor's league record to 1-2. The Longhorns secured a perfect 8-0 non-conference record including three wins over Top 25 teams this season. In Big 12 play, UT downed West Virginia on the road in five sets (Sept. 24), beat Iowa State in three sets at home?(Oct. 1), and beat the?Jayhawks on the road at Kansas in four (Oct. 5).
The Longhorns are tops in the Big 12 in hitting percentage (.277), opponent's hitting percentage (.138) and blocks per set (3.14). Baylor ranks atop the Big 12 in kills per set (13.96), led by Andie Malloy's 4.06 per frame, which is second in the Big 12.
