WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team (11-11, 1-6) plays host to Big 12 foe, Iowa State (11-7, 3-4) Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center. The Bears have lost six-straight Big 12 matches, and the Cyclones hold a nine-match winning streak over Baylor.
Baylor's loss to West Virginia at home in four sets dropped the Bears to 1-6 in Big 12 play for the first time since 2005. BU's only win in conference play came in the opener on the road at Kansas State Sept. 27.
After a slow start to conference play where the Cyclones lost three of their first four Big 12 matches, ISU has rebounded to two of its last three, including a five-set win over Kansas at home Wednesday.
ISU leads the Big 12 in assists per set (13.15), kills per set (13.91) and digs per set (16.44), where Baylor ranks second (12.88), second (13.85) and fourth (15.08), respectively.
Andie Malloy has 13 double-doubles on the season for Baylor including four-straight after Wednesday's 20 killls, 11 digs performance. She ranks second in the Big 12 in kills per set at 4.06. Defensively, ISU's Caitlin Nolan ranks atop the Big 12 in digs per set at 5.62.
Iowa State leads the all-time series with Baylor 20-18 and has had recent success with nine-straight wins over the Bears, and the Cyclones have won 15 of the last 16 meetings between the two schools.
