WACO, Texas - Baylor competitive cheer will hit the road for a pair of matches this weekend. The Bears compete against Azusa Pacific in Azusa, Calif. at 2 p.m. Saturday and take on No. 2 Oregon in Eugene, Ore. at 9 p.m. Monday.

Baylor (1-3) opened its inaugural season with a win at No. 3 Fairmont State. The Bears suffered their first loss when they were edged by top-ranked Maryland two days later. Baylor also dropped a home meet against Oregon on Jan. 23 and fell to both Azusa Pacific and top-ranked Maryland in their final home meet of the season on Feb. 24.

Azusa Pacific (3-3) lost at Oregon in its season opener on Jan. 29 and then went back home to win the Azusa Pacific Invitational by defeating both Fairmont State and Quinnipiac on Feb. 5. Baylor was scheduled to participate in the tournament, but the Bears were unable to travel due to a winter storm that hit Central Texas two days before the meet. The Cougars were again defeated by Oregon on Feb. 12 and APU finished in second place in the three-team meet in Waco on Feb. 24.

Oregon (3-0) remains undefeated this season. The Ducks opened their season with a win at Baylor on Jan. 23, and UO has knocked of APU in both meets of a home-and-home series.

The meets on Saturday and Monday are the last regular season events on Baylor's 2010-11 schedule. The NCATA National Championships will be held in Eugene, Ore. April 7-11.
