Missouri enters the weekend having won five of its last seven matches, with only road losses at Texas and Kansas State. The Tigers swept then-No. 21 Oklahoma and won at Kansas in its last two outings.
Missouri features a top-three ranked player in the Big 12 in hitting percentage, kills/set and assists/set. MB €ˆBrittney Brimmage is second at .370, OH €ˆLisa Henning is third at 4.14 kills/set and S €ˆMolly Kreklow is third at 10.69 assists/set.
STORYLINES
- Baylor improved its record in five-set matches to 6-2 on the season at Texas State. The Bears have won two in a row after a three-match losing streak and now sit at 17-9, 4-6.
- With the win at Texas State, BU secured its fourth consecutive winning season for the first time in program history. The previous best was three straight from 1991-93 and 1999-01.
- Baylor has three RPI €ˆtop-50 wins on the season, including home victories over Kansas, Missouri and Kansas State. All six of BU's remaining matches are against RPI top-50 teams.
- In her first two career matches at right-side hitter, Adri Nora has 27 kills and hit at a .268 clip. Comparatively, in 19 matches played at OH, Nora hit just .210. Baylor is 2-0 with Nora at RS.
- With a career-high 34 digs at Texas State, SR €ˆL Allison King moved her BU €ˆrecord total 1,955, fourth all-time in the Big 12. In 2011, she has had 10 digs 25 times with nine over 20.
- Since JR €ˆKate Harris took over as the full-time setter, Baylor is 6-4 with Harris averaging 10.24 assists per set. She has eight double-doubles and has had over 50 assists three times.
- Head coach Jim Barnes earned his BU-record 130th win on Oct. 5 in a sweep over Texas Tech. Barnes sits just three wins away from 300 for his career.
