Volleyball Set to Host Watch Party

WACO, Texas - Baylor's volleyball team will host an NCAA watch party on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the Stone Room in the Ferrell Center. The Bears will be looking for their second bid in the last three years and fourth bid in program history.The event is open to the media and public, and fans are encouraged to attend. Food and drinks will be provided.
The NCAA Selection Show is set to air on ESPNU at 5 p.m.
Baylor finished its regular season at Kansas on Saturday night, falling to 18-14 overall and 5-11 in the Big 12. The Bears defeated four NCAA RPI top-50 teams this season including then No. 23 Oklahoma on the road and Kansas, Missouri and Kansas State all at home.
Baylor last received a bid to the NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship in 2009, earning two victories and a berth in the Sweet 16 for the first time ever. The Bears defeated Georgia Tech in the first round and then stunned ninth-ranked and eighth-seeded UCLA on its home floor for the highest-ranked win in program history.
Baylor's previous two bids to the NCAA tournament came in 1999 and 2001.
