STORYLINES
- Baylor is coming off a bye weekend after back-to-back matches against the top two teams in the league: €ˆIowa State and Texas. The Bears enter with a 15-8, 3-5 record.
- Including Baylor's 3-0 sweep of Texas Tech in Waco earlier this season, the Bears have won 13 consecutive meetings. Baylor has won six in a row in Lubbock, dating back to 2004.
- In the meeting earlier this year, Baylor out-hit Tech .260-.175, getting 15 kills (.583) from Briana Tolbert and 11 kills (.476) from Torri Campbell. Tech did out-block BU, 11.0-6.0.
- SR MB Briana Tolbert continued her hot streak, tying a career-high with 18 kills against No. 10 Texas. She hit .476, marking the fourth time in the last six matches to hit over .400.
