There has no doubt been numerous questions and concerns brought up about the ongoing discussion of conference realignment. Below are a few frequently asked questions (FAQ) concerning the matter.

Will Baylor compete in the Big 12 Conference in 2010-11?
Yes. This upcoming season Baylor's athletics teams will compete for championships in all sports as members of the Big 12 Conference.

What is Baylor doing to ensure its athletics programs remain a major player in intercollegiate athletics?
Please be assured that President Ken Starr and Director of Athletics Ian McCaw are working tirelessly to protect Baylor's best interests and to ensure Baylor's standing in intercollegiate athletics. We are in constant communication with the Board of Regents, the Big 12 Conference and officials at Big 12 member institutions in order to examine all options available to Baylor athletics.

Our primary focus continues to be to sustain the Big 12 Conference at 10 teams. Baylor is committed to being one of the leaders in maintaining a strong and viable Big 12 Conference, even if additional defections occur. The Big 12 is a powerful brand, affords automatic qualification to the Bowl Championship Series and competition at the highest level for our coaches, student-athletes and stakeholders.
