STANFORD, Calif. - Junior Robbie Knorr placed sixth and teammate Jeff Sadler finished in 21st at the elite Stanford Invitational, which featured some of the nation's top runners, on Saturday.

The junior duo led the Bears to an eighth-place team finish with 247 total points. Stanford won the men's title sweeping the top five spots in the race.

Knorr ran in the middle of Stanford's top six runners throughout the race, finishing just 21 seconds off the lead. Knorr finished the eight-kilometer course in a time of 24 minutes, 15 seconds.

Sadler also finished in the top 25, placing 21st with a time of 24:52, one minute ahead of teammate Zac Flowers in 65th at 25:52. Brandon Reed was next across the line for the Bears in 72nd with a time of 26:00, while Chris Gowell placed 83rd at 26:23.

Baylor will be back in action on Oct. 2, as the women travel to Oregon for the Bill Dellinger Invitational. The men will be off until Oct. 17 for the Chili Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., and the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind.
