TULSA, Okla. - Baylor's sixth-ranked men's tennis team blew past 30th-ranked Tulsa, 4-0, in NCAA Championship second round action at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday. The victory extended Baylor's season-high win streak to 14 matches and raised its season record to 25-5.

With the win the Bears remain perfect in NCAA Championships second round matches at 10-0. Baylor moves on the to NCAA's round of 16 for the eighth straight season and 10th overall. The Bears will face Wake Forest (22-9) who upset 11th-ranked Kentucky 4-2.

"I thought it was a comprehensive team effort, everyone was into their match and competing well. Tulsa has a talented team that is good at every spot and we're happy to move on," said head coach Matt Knoll.

For the second straight day, BU's No. 2 doubles tandem of Denes Lukacs and Maros Horny walked off the court first with an 8-3 win over Phil Stephens and Ashley Watling. The victory raised their season record to 15-6. At No. 1 doubles, David Galic and Jordan Rux, ranked No. 18, followed in short order with an 8-4 triumph over 79th-ranked James Seagraves and Alberto Sottocorno.

After winning the doubles point, the Bears got singles wins at courts 3, 4 and 6 to breeze to victory. It took Horny just an hour to dispose of Marko Ballok on court six. The freshman lost only one game in the contest, winning 6-0-, 6-1 to raise his season record to 21-6. Dominik Mueller had almost as easy of a time against Sottocorno at No. 4 singles. With his 6-2, 6-0 triumph, Mueller is now 23-11 overall and 19-7 in dual matches. Freshman Julian Bley clinched the match for Baylor and in doing so, extended his win streak to seven matches and recorded just his second victory over a ranked opponent. He downed 99th-ranked Phil Stephens, 6-4, 6-2.
