WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team has added a transfer player for the 2009 season, head coach Jim Barnes announced on Saturday.

Elizabeth Graham, a junior middle blocker transfer from Texas, has signed an official commitment to Baylor to enroll in summer classes and will have two years of eligibility beginning with the 2009 fall season.

"Elizabeth has the potential to come in and contribute right away for our team," said Barnes. "She is 6-2 and can touch over 10-feet so she is a very physical player. She is also a great student so she is a great addition for us."

Graham was a 2007 PrepVolleyball.com All-American and was a 2006 all-state first team pick by the Texas Sports Writers Association and Lone Star Volleyball as a senior at Vista Ridge High School.

The native of Cedar Park, Texas saw action in four matches and six games as a freshman for the Longhorns in 2007 before sustaining an ankle injury. She tallied three kills on four attacks and added one block assists against Baylor.

As a sophomore, Graham saw action in eight matches and 10 sets, recording seven kills on .462 hitting. She also added four total blocks, including one solo, and one dig.

Baylor opens its 2009 fall season on Aug. 28 at the Houston Invitational against New Orleans. The Bears return all seven starters and 12 letterwinners from last year's squad that finished 18-13 overall, including a 9-11 Big 12 record.
