Forty-five student-athletes comprised the second graduating class of the Baylor Leadership Academy, as 19 individuals completed the Veteran Leaders program and 26 completed the Academy's Emerging Leaders program. The graduates were recognized at Baylor's annual student-athlete banquet, May 4.

The Leadership Academy was started in the fall of 2007 with a goal of providing Baylor's student-athletes comprehensive leadership programming to develope them as effective and vocal leaders for today and successful worldwide leaders for tomorrow. All Leadership Academy members are appointed by their head coach and must complete a year-long training program in order to earn graduate status.

"I thought the Academy was great this year," said Paul Bradshaw, Baylor Associate Athletics Director and Director of the Leadership Academy. "We built upon the foundation established in our inaugural year and came up with some innovative ways to teach leadership skills to our student-athletes."
