TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Baylor's women's cross country team finished in 28th place at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Monday morning in Terre Haute, Ind.
Baylor finished the team race with 666 points, while Villanova took the team title with 86 total points. The team from the Big 12 was Texas Tech, which finished fourth with 191 points. Iowa State placed 17th at 446 and Colorado was 20th at 458. Individually, Illinois' Angela Bizzari placed first overall, covering the 6,000-meter course in 19 minutes, 46.8 seconds.
For Baylor, senior Erin Bedell was the top finisher, placing 57th with a time of 21:00.4. Senior Nichole Jones was the next to cross the line for the Bears in 145th with a time of 21:37.
Sophomore Cate Westenhover placed 196th at 22:03 and senior Danielle Bradley placed 198th at 22:05. Rounding out the top five was freshman Stephanie Morgan in 219th with a time of 22:25.
Freshman Katie Barry placed 236th (22:52) and junior Katie Shaw was 247th (23:18).
