WACO, Texas - The Baylor volleyball team was listed as receiving votes according to the latest CSTV/AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll released on Monday afternoon.
The team received 10 votes in Monday's poll, ranking them 38th among all vote-getters. The Bears are receiving votes for the first time since Sept. 25, 2006 when the Bears received five votes. Baylor was last ranked in the coaches poll on Sept. 17, 2001 when the Bears were ranked 17th.
The Bears opened the season with eight-straight wins, tying the program record for the most consecutive victories to start a season. Baylor also won each of its first three conference matches for the first time in Baylor history. The Bears are currently tied for second place in the Big 12 standings with No. 17 Kansas State.
Baylor returns to action on Wednesday night as the Bears play host to Colorado at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
