BAYLOR HEAD COACH Art Briles - Aug. 19, 2008
Recapping Monday's afternoon practice:

"We had a good workout in the afternoon. We bounced around and had a lot of energy. We had really good focus and that's kind of been our theme for the last couple of days. We need to focus on the little things and just make sure we take care of business. It was a good productive workout."

On getting different players more reps in practice:
"We're still kind of rolling as is. We're still in the developmental stage as far as figuring out, who can and when they can. It's still a process we're working through. We'll start getting game-ready at the end of this week.

On position battles:
"I think for the most part, we're getting pretty settled on our personnel. All that's still subject to change. We feel good about the people we've got and how they're performing. Now we just have to refine all the techniques that are involved in playing their positions to their best."

On how he'll treat Tuesday's practice any different from Monday and Wednesday's two-a-days:
"It'll go a little longer. We'll have to cover everything at once. It's just one of those good long practices that we need right now."
