WACO, Texas - Junior middle blocker Anna Breyfogle was named to the ESPN: The Magazine Academic All-District VI second-team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced on Wednesday. Breyfogle, a third-team selection as a sophomore in 2007, earns her second all-district honor.

Breyfogle marks Baylor's third-consecutive selection to an all-district team, as Nicole LeBlanc earned second-team honors in 2006. Breyfogle is only the second Baylor player, along with LeBlanc in 2004 and 2006, to earn two all-district selections and the first player in program history to be selected to the all-district team in consecutive seasons.

This season, Breyfogle leads the Big 12 in blocks per set at 1.52, the second-straight season she has led the league in blocks. She also currently ranks fifth in the nation in blocking. Earlier this season, she was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, setting a new Baylor record with her fourth-career weekly honor.

Breyfogle's selection to the all-district team is the eighth overall in Baylor history. In 1999, Kia Young and Elisha Polk received first- and second-team honors, respectively, the only season that Baylor had two all-district selections. Young also earned third-team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors during the 1999 season, Baylor's only Academic All-America selection.
