WACO, Texas- Baylor men's tennis found success in day two of the Charles Fluitt Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky. All three of the participating Bears won their matches and No.2 seed Denes Lukacs went on to clinch the title for the second year in a row.
In action earlier today Julian Bley defeated Kentucky's Eric Quigley 6-4, 7-6. Jurica Grubisic beat Davey Sandgren of Tennessee in three sets 3-6, 6-7, 6-4. Lukacs overcame No.4 seed Boris Conkic of Tennessee 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 to advance to the final.
In a rematch of last year's final Lukacs faced No.3 seed Bruno Agostinelli of Kentucky, who upset No.1 seed Oleksandr Nedevyesov of Oklahoma State. Lukacs downed Agostinelli 7-6, 6-2, making him the reigning back-to-back champion. As the winner, Lukacs receives a wild card spot in the qualifying play in the Western and Southern Financial Group ATP Master's Series in Cincinnati.
