BAYLOR VOLLEYBALL TRAVELS TO FACE TEXAS TECH
The Baylor volleyball team hits the road this week as the Bears travel to Lubbock for a match against Texas Tech on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena. The Bears are coming off a 3-0 loss at home to Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped Baylor's two-match winning streak and marked just the second time Baylor had been swept at home this season. Katie Sanders leads Baylor with 333 kills this season, while five other Bears have topped 100 kills on the season. Taylor Barnes has collected 982 assists and a league-high 44 service aces this season. Anna Breyfogle leads the conference with 1.52 blocks per set, but has missed the last five matches with a dislocated shoulder. Freshman Allison King has recorded 376 digs this season and has tallied 10 or more digs in 21 of the last 22 matches. Texas Tech enters the match following a 3-0 loss at Texas on Saturday. The Red Raiders have not won in the Big 12 Conference this season and are riding a 14-match losing streak. Amanda Dowdy leads the way for Texas Tech with 258 kills, while Caroline Witte has recorded 654 assists and 30 service aces. Jenn Harrell has tallied 283 digs on the season. Brandi Hood anchors the net defense with 0.91 blocks per set. The match, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will feature GameTracker live stats available on www.BaylorBears.com.

LAST TIME AGAINST TEXAS TECH
Anna Breyfogle recorded 14 kills on .500 hitting and added eight total blocks as Baylor defeated Texas Tech, 3-1 (25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22) at the Ferrell Center. With the win, Baylor won its Big 12 opener for the third time in the last four years. The Bears have won their last seven matches against Texas Tech, including season sweeps each of the last three years. Breyfogle tied her season-high with 14 kills against only two hitting errors in 24 total attempts. The hitting percentage is her highest this season, improving on her .455 effort at Texas State. She also tallied eight total blocks including three solos. Katie Sanders led the way for Baylor with 16 kills and 11 digs to record her fourth kill-dig double-double of the season. Taylor Barnes collected five kills with no errors on .556 hitting and added 41 set assists. She also recorded a team-high 13 digs and four service aces. The Bears hit .252 for the match, while holding Texas Tech to .147 hitting. Allison King reached double-digit digs for the fifth time this season with 11. The Bears recorded 50 digs compared to 48 for the Red Raiders.

LAST TIME OUT
Sarah Ammerman led three Aggie players in double-digit kills as Texas A&M defeated Baylor 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-19) on Saturday afternoon at the Ferrell Center. The Aggies avenged an earlier 3-1 loss to the Bears in College Station. Texas A&M hit .352 for the match, committing only nine hitting errors for the match. Baylor hit at a .230 clip with 16 errors on the day. Katie Sanders led the Bears with 12 kills on .320 hitting and added two service aces. Allison King added a career-high 10 kills for the match, while Ashlie Christenson added 10 kills on .368 hitting. Taylor Barnes collected 37 assists on the day and added one service ace. King led the way for the Bears with nine digs, but failed to collect 10 or more digs for the first time in 21 matches. Barnes, Sanders and Brittany Ridenour each tallied eight digs for the Bears. Baylor served up three aces, while only committing one receiving error. Sanders was perfect in serve-receive with 35 total opportunities.
