BAYLOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYS HOST TO KANSAS The Baylor volleyball team returns home after consecutive road matches as the Bears play host to Kansas on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Ferrell Center. The Bears are coming off a 3-1 win at Texas A&M on Friday night. The win snaps Baylor's three-match losing streak which featured contests against the second- and third-ranked teams in the country. Katie Sanders leads Baylor with 231 kills this season, while Taylor Barnes has collected 667 assists and 26 service aces. Anna Breyfogle leads the nation with 1.64 blocks per set following a 12-block performance against the Aggies, while freshman Allison King has recorded 264 digs this season. Kansas enters the match following a 3-1 win over Oklahoma on Saturday night in Lawrence, Kan. The win snapped a two-match slide for the Jayhawks who dropped a 3-2 decision to Texas A&M and lost 3-1 at Missouri. Karina Garlington leads the way for Kansas with 281 kills and 21 service aces on the season. Nicole Tate has recorded 727 assists, while Melissa Manda has 232 digs. The match, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will have GameTracker and live video and audio webcasts online at BaylorBears.com

LAST TIME AGAINST KANSAS Ashlie Christenson recorded a career-high 18 kills, and Anna Breyfogle added 18 kills as Baylor downed Kansas 3-1 (30-19, 20-30, 30-24, 30-22). The win extended Baylor's winning streak to five-straight matches. Baylor's five-match winning streak was the longest since the Bears won 11 in a row during the 2006 season. The four-match conference winning streak was the longest since 2001, when the Bears also won four straight against Big 12 opponents. Baylor recorded 72 kills on .374 hitting for the match, the second highest team percentage on the season. Christenson's 18 kills came on 30 attacks with only five hitting errors (.433). Breyfogle committed just two errors to record a .533 hitting percentage. Taylor Barnes tallied eight kills on .571 hitting and added 56 set assists and eight digs. Katie Sanders contributed 14 kills and 12 digs to record her 16th double-double of the season. The sophomore also added four service aces.

LAST TIME OUT Anna Breyfogle and Katie Sanders recorded double-doubles and Baylor rallied from a one-set deficit as the Bears defeated Texas A&M 3-1 (24-26, 25-20, 25-18, 27-25) on Friday night at G. Rollie White Coliseum. The win marks the first this year when Baylor lost the first set. Prior to tonight's match, the Bears were 0-5 in contests when they dropped the opening set. Sanders tallied 17 kills and 10 digs to record her eighth kill-dig double-double of the season. Ashlie Christenson also recorded 17 kills on the night, a new season high. Breyfogle connected on 12 kills on .478 hitting and added a season-high 12 total blocks, including two solos. This marks the second time this season that Breyfogle recorded 10 or more blocks and marks her third double-double of the season. Taylor Barnes tallied 44 set assists to go along with six kills on 14 errorless attacks. Allison King recorded a match-high 17 digs, marking her 14th-straight match with 10 or more digs. Brittany Ridenour tallied 15 digs for the Bears. Barnes also added four blocks, while Sanders recorded three total blocks. Baylor outblocked Texas A&M 12.5-8 for the match.
