Denes Lukacs, ranked No. 78, is Baylor's hottest player during the fall season, registering a 10-2 mark overall and a 6-2 record over ranked opponents. The sophomore from Eger, Hungary, has won eight of his last nine matches and four straight where he recently claim the singles championship of the Charles Fluitt Invitational in Lexington, Ky. En route to the title, he downed two top-50 players in straight sets, No. 38 Clancy Shields (Boise State) and No. 44 Bruno Agostinelli (Kentucky). During the fall he also owns a win over ninth-ranked Ryan Rowe of Illinois.
Also in the Fluitt Invitational, three of Baylor's four participants advanced to the round of 16 (Brown, Mueller, Lukacs) while Lukacs and Mueller were semifinalists.
