LEXINGTON, Ky. - Three of Baylor's four participants, Dominik Mueller, Matt Brown and Denes Lukacs, moved into the quarterfinals of the Fluitt Invitational at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington, Ky., on Saturday.

In first-round action Saturday morning, freshman Jordan Rux downed Tulsa senior Will Gray 6-3, 7-5. However, Rux fell to Kentucky's Bruno Agostinelli in the round of 16, 6-4, 6-1.

Baylor's three other participants, Mueller, Brown and Lukacs, received first-round byes and began action in the round of 16. Mueller, a sophomore ranked No. 61, took down Florida's Nestor Briceno, a junior currently ranked No. 91, 6-2, 6-0. Brown, a junior ranked No. 110, facing the highest-rated player among Baylor's first-round opponents defeated 69th-ranked Davy Sandren, a freshman from Tennessee, 6-4, 7-5. Lukacs, a sophomore ranked No. 78, triumphed over 108th-ranked JP Smith of Tennessee, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.

Quarterfinal action begins on Sunday at 10 a.m., with Muller taking on Illinois' Billy Heisler who upset the tournament's top-seeded player, fifth-ranked Luke Shields of Boise State. Brown matches up against Agostinelli and Lukacs will play 38th-ranked Clancy Shields of Boise State.

On Saturday Baylor saw its action come to an end at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas. David Galic lost in the quarterfinals to 98th-ranked Kellen Damico of Texas, 6-4, 6-4. In doubles action, Galic and Attila Bucko dropped an 8-5 decision to Brad Williams of Texas A&M and Tyler Tarnasky of Arkansas.
