Men's Cross Country Places 13th at Chile Pepper

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Baylor men's cross country team placed 13th out of 32 teams on Saturday morning at Arkansas' Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival.

Jacob Jones (Willis, Texas) led Baylor with a 44th-place finish overall with a time of 31:50.5 over the 10K course. Robbie Knorr (Livermore, Calif.) placed 55th for the Bears in 32:02.2 in his first career 10K race.

Arkansas took the team title with 47 team points, while Shadrack Songok of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won the individual title with at time of 29:22.1.

Jordan Hiller (Yoakum, Texas) and Ben Haby (Corpus Christi, Texas) each earned top 100 finishes, placing 92nd and 96th respectively. Jeff Sadler () finished the scoring for Baylor, placing 118th overall with a time of 33:31.8.

Hunter Garner (Keller, Texas) placed 135th, while John Wenhold (Corpus Christi, Texas) finished 142nd.

Baylor returns to action on Oct. 24 as the Bears travel to Lubbock to take part in the 2007 Big 12 Cross Country Championships.
