WACO, Texas - Baylor returns to Waco as the Bears play host to Missouri on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.
Baylor is coming off a 3-0 loss at No. 7 texas on Wednesday night. Destinee Hooker recorded 17 kills on .615 hitting to lead Texas. The Longhorns hit .421 on the night, committing just 13 hitting errors, while the Bears hit .179 with just 34 kills.
Ashley Engle and Brandy Magee joined Hooker in double-figures with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Engle also tallied a match-high 10 digs.
Katie Sanders (Katy, Texas) led Baylor with 11 kills, while Amanda Modglin (Houston, Texas) tallied nine kills on .412 hitting. Anna Breyfogle (Buda, Texas) added six kills for the Bears.
Baylor recorded only four team blocks, with Modglin, Breyfogle and Ashlie Christenson (Cleburne, Texas) each recording two total blocks.
Sarah Grace (Houston, Texas) recorded eight digs after missing two matches with an injury, while Taylor Barnes (Arlington, Texas) recorded seven digs to go along with 29 set assists.
Missouri enters the match riding a four-match conference winning streak after dropping its first four conference matches. On Wednesday, Missouri swept Texas A&M 3-0 in Columbia, the Tigers second straight 3-0 win over a conference opponent.
Missouri has five players with more than 100 kills, led by Na Yang with 292 kills. Libero Tatum Ailes leads the conference with 4.81 digs per game. She has already tallied 322 digs this season.Amanda Hantouli is the Tigers' top blocker at 1.08 blocks per game.
