WACO, Texas - Baylor's men and women team finished first at the Bear Relays at the Baylor Intramural Fields on Friday. Baylor's team of Renae VanWhye and Nichole Jones finished the 8,000-meter race in a time of 28.20.9 while Mitch Sanders and Bo Price finished the 12,000-meter race with a time of 37.01.46.

The Bears' team of Lyndsy Bedell and Lauren Hagans finished a close second behind VanWhye and Jones with a time of 28.25.47.

Baylor's team of Monique Ortega and Ruth Waller finished fourth with a time of 28.43.76 while Danielle Bradley and Loren Hodges finished in sixth with a time of 29.12.61.

On the men's side, Baylor secured the top three finishes with Mitch Sanders and Bo Price finishing first with a time of 37.01.46.

The Bears' team of Jacob Jones and Rob Morrow finished the 12,000-meter race in a time of 37.05.1 to finish second while Rey Hinojosa and John Wenhold finished third with a time of 38.17.38.

Baylor's team of Ben Haby and Mark Smith finished fifth with a time of 38.58.74 while Hunter Garner and Trey Slack finished 13th with a time of 40.39.78.

The Bears return to action Sat., Sept. 9, at the North Texas Invitational in Denton, Texas.
