WACO, Texas - The No. 7 Baylor men's tennis team will kick-off Big 12 action tonight hosting No. 43 Texas Tech at the Baylor Tennis Center at 6 p.m.
After winning a double-header last Thursday, Baylor begins conference action with a 12-4 overall season record. This will also be the fist conference action Texas Tech has seen after posting an 11-5 record in non-conference action.
Leading Tech in singles action is freshman Christian Rojmar who has posted an 11-4 singles record. Rojmar and teammate Adrian Pripic lead the Raiders in doubles with a 9-4 overall record.
With five players ranked in the top 150 in the ITA polls, Baylor has a variety of team leaders. No. 12 Lars Poerschke leads in the rankings but No. 59 Michal Kokta leads in singles records with a 28-6 overall record. Kokta is also working on a near season high winning streak with nine straight victories. His season high streak is 10 wins between October, 28 and January 22.
There will be a free food for the first 50 guests in attendance courtesy of HEB. Also, the team will sign autographs after the conclusion of the match.
