WACO, Texas - The No.8 Baylor Men's Tennis Team fell to No. 7 Virginia today in Richmond. With this loss, the Bears drop to 1-2 on the season.

The Cavaliers took an early lead taking the doubles point with two wins over Baylor. No. 31 Matija Zgaga and Jon Reckewey fell to Rylan Rizza and Nick Meythaler of Virginia 8-4. The Baylor team of Lars Poerschke and Vladimir Portnov were also defeated by the team of Darrin Cohen and Doug Stewart in an 8-4 match. Michal Kokta and Will Ward were the only pair to win for Baylor defeating Somdev Devvarman and Treat Huey in a tie-breaker match 7-6 (5).

In Singles action, the Bears continued to struggle dropping five-of-six matches to Virginia. The Cavaliers were a team of highly ranked individuals with four-of-six holding top 55 rankings. For complete match results, see below.

The lone point and singles win for the Bears came from sophomore No. 1 Lars Poerschke in the number one position. Poerschke defeated Doug Stewart in a two-set match 6-3, 6-2.
