WACO, Texas - Baylor men's tennis team remains in the top 10 in the latest Fila Collegiate Tennis Rankings released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The Bears came in at No. 8 this week, one spot up from their previous ranking of No. 9.
Florida remained in the No. 1 spot this week receiving all 10 first place votes. The rest of the top 10, in order, are Georgia, Illinois, Pepperdine, Mississippi, Stanford, UCLA, Baylor, Duke, and South Carolina.
The Bear's have started off the spring with a record of 2-2, their losses coming from No. 1 Florida and then- No. 6 Virginia. Baylor continues to face a tough schedule facing 15 top 50 teams over the next four months.
Baylor's Big 12 rival, Texas, made the largest jump this week climbing from No. 20 to No. 13 this week after a 4-3 upset at then No. 6 Virginia. This is the highest ranking for the Longhorns since March 15, 2005.

Baylor will travel to the team National Men's Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Washington in Seattle this weekend. Baylor, the defending tournament champions will face off against 15 top programs in the country including seven of the top 10 ranked teams.
