Tennis' Poerschke Upset in Indoor Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Baylor junior Lars Poerschke was eliminated from the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships on Friday with a loss in the round of 16 in the competition held at the Racquet Club of Columbus (Ohio).
Poerschke, ranked No. 4 nationally and the tournament's No. 4 seed, was upset by Steven Moneke of Ohio State on Friday. Moneke, ranked No. 65, defeated Poerschke in two sets, 6-2, 7-5.
This completes Baylor's fall tennis schedule. Poerschke finished the fall slate with a 6-3 singles record. The Bears' next action will be on Sat., Jan. 6 as they travel to Honolulu, Hawaii to take on the University of Hawaii in a dual match.
