After a two-day break following last Saturday's 20-10 victory at Army, the 3-0 Baylor football team returned to practice Wednesday afternoon on the grass practice fields at Floyd Casey Stadium. The Bears, idle this weekend, open Big 12 play Oct. 1 in an 11:30 a.m. contest at Texas A&M which will be televised on Fox Sports Net.
Wednesday's practice included special teams work, a 20-minute individual fundamental session and head-to-head competition between the Bears' top offensive and defensive units in various game-type situations.
"We want to keep today and tomorrow short and crisp," said Baylor coach Guy Morriss. "Then we'll give them three days off and I expect that they'll come back mentally fresh and ready to go back to work."
Baylor will practice at 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, then break for the weekend before returning to the practice field Monday evening.
