Baylor hits the road to play its second of four straight matches against ranked opponents as it faces No. 12 Missouri Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
The Bears are coming off a four-game loss to then-No. 14 Texas Saturday in Austin, while the Tigers swept last-place Oklahoma in Norman.
Baylor is led by junior outside hitter Nicole LeBlanc, who ranks ninth in the Big 12 with 3.65 kills per game and 12th with 2.89 digs per game. On defense, Kristen Schramek ranks seventh in the conference with 3.67 digs per game, while junior middle blocker Desiree Guilliard-Young is averaging 1.70 blocks per game, which would rank second in the Big 12 if she had played enough games to qualify. Senior setter Emily Huston ranks second in the Big 12 with 0.41 aces per game.
Missouri is led by senior setter Lindsey Hunter, who leads the Big 12 with 14.07 assists per game and has paced the Tigers to a .297 hitting percentage. Na Yang ranks fifth in the league with 3.93 kills per game, while Jessica Vander Kooi ranks 12th with 3.51 per game. Tatum Ailes ranks third in the conference with 4.14 digs per game, while Nicole Wilson is averaging 1.39 blocks per game to rank sixth.
Missouri leads the all-time series against Baylor, 11-8, including each of the last seven meetings...The Tigers hold a 7-3 advantage in Columbia...Missouri won this year's previous meeting by sweeping Baylor Sept. 28 in Waco.
The Bears return to action when they host No. 25 Colorado Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center, followed with a visit by top-ranked Nebraska Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
