Waco, Texas - The men's tennis team easily defeated SMU Wednesday afternoon in Dallas by a score of 5-2 despite No. 1 Benedikt Dorsch losing 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 (8). The win brings the No. 3-ranked Bears to 11-2 on the season, while SMU falls to 8-7.
The Bears took the doubles point with wins from the team of Benjamin Becker and Ivor Lovrak and the duo of Reiner Neurohr and Jon Reckewey.
In singles competition Baylor won at the No. 2, 3, 5, and 6 positions to claim the match.
Baylor's next match will be a doubleheader on Friday, March 19. The first match is scheduled for 10 a.m. against Texas A&M Corpus Christi followed by a 6 p.m. match against Boise State.
