QB/ATH * 6-5 * 190 * Dallas, Texas (Carter)

As a senior, directed coach Allen Wilson's Carter (Texas) High School Cowboys to a 12-1 record and the regional semifinals of the Class 5A Division II playoffs ... The Cowboys' signal caller was 25 of 62 in the air for 544 yards and 11 touchdowns with one interception ... As a junior, he passed for 203 yards as Carter finished 11-1 ... The son of George and Margaret Dick, Twaneil was born Dec. 4, 1984.
Morriss on Spead: "He's a tall, rangy looking player who will get a chance to compete for the quarterback job at Baylor. We'll find a way to get him on the field because he can play several positions for us."

Evan Stone
OL * 6-5 * 272 * Buffalo, Texas (Tyler JC)

Like fellow BU signee Dane King, Stone inked with the Bears in December, has enrolled at Baylor and will be available for spring practice if he is fully recovered from a knee injury he sustained at Tyler (Texas) Junior College ... Started every game along the offensive line at Tyler before missing the last half of the 2003 campaign with a knee injury that required surgery ... Coach Dale Carr's Apache's finished the 2003 season with a 10-2 record and a No. 6 national ranking in the final NJCAA poll ... Stone was a key member of a Tyler team that posted its first 10-win season since 1969 and won the Heart of Texas Bowl with a 55-3 victory over Rochester Community College ... Three-year starter for Buffalo (Texas) High School ... The son of Donald and Heather Stone, Evan was born Sept. 22, 1983.
Morriss on Stone: "To what degree Evan will be able to practice this spring is undetermined because he's got some rehab work to do on his knee, but I believe he'll contend for a spot at one of the inside positions along the offensive line. All of the medical staff has assured me that he'll be ready for fall camp. The fact that he's going to be on campus this spring should give him a jump start (in learning our system), as he'll be able to go through some drills and work hard in the weight room."
