Men's Tennis Faces First Big 12 Opponent

WACO, Texas - After slipping from No. 2 to No. 5 in the ITA rankings the men's tennis team will take on Colorado at 2 p.m. Friday at the Baylor Tennis Center. This will be Baylor's first Big 12 opponent of the 2004 season as they attempt a three-peat for the Big 12 crown.

Even though they slipped in the rankings the Bears come into the match as the only team in the nation with two players ranked in the top five in singles with, Benedikt Dorsch at No. 3 and Benjamin Becker at No. 5. Colorado enters the match unranked, but is undefeated in its first four matches.

Some highlights for the Bears includes Matija Zagaga on an 11 match winning streak and Benedikt Dorsch being named, Big 12 Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for matches from Jan. 5-9 Feb. 2004.
