Waco, Tx. - According to the latest team rankings released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the Baylor men's team remained at the No. 3 spot in the country, while the women slipped two spots to No. 45.

Matt Knoll's men's team, currently 3-0 on the season, is the Big 12's highest ranked team. They defeated then-No. 25 Mississippi State by a score of 7-0, and last week defeated No.31 SMU 6-1. The Bears will be in action again today against Wichita State.

The women's team dropped two spots after winning one of two matches this week over Marquette in Milwaukee and then losing to Ohio State 4-3. Two other Big 12 schools rank ahead of the Bears, No. 12 Texas and No. 35 Texas A&M. The Bears will play at home for the first time this spring this Saturday Feb. 8 against No. 21 Miami at 2 p.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center.
