WACO, Texas - Baylor punter Daniel Sepulveda and tight end Iris Williams were selected Freshman All-Big 12 Conference by The Sporting News, the publication announced over the weekend.
Sepulveda, a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas, ranks third in the Big 12 and 23rd nationally, averaging 43.1 yards per punt. He established school several school punting records, including total punting yards (3,750) and punts of 50-plus yards (24). Sepulveda, a linebacker who began punting last spring, also pinned four punts inside the 5 yard line with two coffins.
Williams, a product of Cypress Falls High School in Houston, made two starts at tight end and was second on Baylor's depth chart at that position. He finished the year with six catches for 67 yards and one touchdown, that coming in the season opener against UAB.

No team in the Big 12 had more true freshmen on its depth chart than Baylor. Including redshirts, Baylor's two-deep roster featured 16 freshmen, also tops in the Big 12.
