Men's Tennis Dominates in UTSA Tournament

WACO, Texas - Baylor sweeps the competition at the UTSA/Sonterra Invitational Sunday Oct. 12, with Ivor Lovrak winning the singles and Jason Gould and Jon Reckewey dominating the doubles final.

In route to winning the singles final, Lovrak defeated Luis Morris of Texas A&M 7-5, 6-4 in the semi-final round. In the final, Lovrak quickly defeated, Big 12 rival, Antonio Ruiz of Texas 6-3, 6-4.

Baylor's Gould and Reckewey quickly moved into the semi-final round when Holliday and Hubbard of Tyler Junior College withdrew. In the semi-final Gould and Reckewey continued their winning ways, defeating Tas Tobias and Hubert Chadkiewicz of Texas 8-4. To make their sweep complete Baylor's duo defeated John Nallon and Zack Malmgren of Texas A&M 8-6, in the final.

Baylor's next match will be at the Midland Tournament, Oct. 17-19.
