WACO, Texas - Baylor's women's volleyball team won two of three matches Saturday at the second Baylor Spring Invitational. The Bears topped Houston and Louisiana State in their third of four tournaments during the spring developmental season.

Stevie Nicholas and Tisha Schwartz led the way against Houston as the Bears posted a 26-30, 30-17, 30-18 victory. Nicholas smashed 22 kills and had three service aces, while Schwartz tallied 14 kills and five blocks.

Baylor edged LSU 30-18, 28-30, 30-16 behind Schwartz' 18 kills and nine blocks. The Bears only loss on the day was to Texas Tech. The Red Raiders were 30-22, 31-29, 30-24 winners despite a 13-kill, four-block performance by Schwartz.

Laura Daniela Lloreda finished the day with 10 service aces.

The Bears conclude their spring season April 27 at the University of Texas.
