WACO, Texas - Tisha Schwartz posted her ninth 20-kill match of the season and also notched 14 digs, but it was not enough as Baylor dropped a 30-28, 30-27, 34-32 decision to Oklahoma here Saturday night in Big 12 Volleyball action. The Bears close the season at 9-22 with the loss, 2-18 in conference action. Oklahoma improves to 6-22 and 4-16.

Schwartz finished the season with 496 kills, ranking sixth in school history. Only Elisha Polk (1997, 1998, 1999) and Stevie Nicholas (2000, 2001) have tallied more kills in a season while wearing a Baylor uniform. Schwartz also finished the season with 4.69 kills per game, also sixth in school history. Since moving to the outside hitter position Sept. 26, she has averaged 5.31 kills per game.

Baylor fell behind 26-16 in game one before staging one of the greatest comebacks in school history. The Bears scored 12 of the next 14 points and tied the score at 28-28 on a Schwartz kill. However, the Sooners closed the match with kills by Jennifer Mosso and Christina Barlow on the next two points.

The Bears built an early 11-6 advantage in game two, but this time it was the Sooners who battled back with a five-point run that tied the game. Oklahoma went on to score 12 of the next 19 points and built a 23-18 lead. Baylor then scored eight straight points and reclaimed the lead at 25-23, but the Sooners closed out the game with a 7-2 run.

Game three mirrored game one, but the other way around. The Bears led 28-23 when a Barlow kill ignited a six-point Sooner run. The teams played side-out volleyball for the next seven points before Barlow put the match away with a kill down the left side.

Schwartz led all players with 20 kills to go along with 14 digs. Stella Odion added 12 kills, 10 digs and five blocks, while Laura Daniela Lloreda had 11 kills, 16 digs and two service aces. Alison Heffner had a career-best three kills and added two blocks.
