Five Bears Ranked in ITA Singles/Doubles Rankings

WACO, Texas - Baylor women's tennis players Jahnavi Parekh, Katja Kovac and Vida Mulec maintained their holds on spots among the nation's top 100, while the men's doubles team of Reiner Neurohr and Mark Williams dropped to 28th in the latest individual rankings, released Friday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Parekh and Kovac each moved up from the last poll. Parekh stepped up five spots to No. 30, and Kovac came up two places to No. 31. Mulec slid down one spot to No. 65.
Neurohr and Williams were ranked fifth in the country a month ago, but dropped to 10th in the last poll two weeks ago and now are ranked 28th. The team has a 13-6 overall record, including a 3-0 mark in the Big 12, but are just 4-3 in dual match play this spring.
The Baylor women's team holds the highest team ranking in program history at No. 13, and the Baylor men have moved up one spot each of the past two weeks and are now ranked 19th.
