WACO, Texas - Baylor men's tennis head coach Matt Knoll announced the addition of Reiner Neurohr to the team for the fall on Wednesday.
Neurohr comes to Baylor from Worms, Germany, where he grew up at the same tennis club as Baylor senior Johannes Michalsky. Neurohr was ranked among the top five players in Boys-18 in Germany and ranked among the top 100 players in the ITF junior world rankings. One of Neurohr's most impressive wins came over Tommy Robredo of Spain.
"He's an experienced player," Knoll said. "He's got a complete game, he can do it all. He's a strong student, as well -- exactly the kind of student-athlete we're trying to get."
Neurohr will begin classes this fall. He chose Baylor over Duke and Pepperdine.
